Your photographs

Photographs you import stay on your device. PressKit sends a photograph only when you explicitly transmit it, and only to the destination you configured — your own FTP or SFTP server, or a folder you chose. We operate no server that receives your photographs and we never see them.

Original RAW files are not rewritten. PressKit stores RAW metadata in an XMP sidecar and creates a separate JPEG when a transmit workflow requires one.

On-device AI Caption

AI Suggest uses Apple Foundation Models on your device to process the selected photograph, your notes, and relevant caption context. Photos and prompts stay on the device during generation. PressKit does not send this material to a cloud AI provider or use a cloud fallback.

Apple manages the initial system model download. Once the model is ready and the photograph is available locally, caption generation can work offline. You review the draft before transmission. Configuration sync and any file delivery you request remain separate, as described below.

Credentials

Passwords and API keys are stored in the system Keychain on your device and excluded from PressKit configuration sync. Connection settings, including server addresses and usernames, can be part of your private iCloud configuration sync. Credentials are used to connect to the service or server you selected. AI Suggest does not require an API key.

iCloud sync

If you enable iCloud sync, setup material — including templates, presets, photographer profile, code files, agency packs, field layouts, and connection configuration — is stored in your own private CloudKit database under your Apple Account.

Photographs and local session state are never synced by PressKit. Apple's privacy policy governs iCloud.

Analytics and tracking

PressKit contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking software. We do not build a profile of you and we do not track you across other apps or websites. PressKit does not use the advertising identifier.

Subscriptions

Purchases and subscription management are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment-card details. Apple may process transaction information under its own privacy policy.

This website

This website has no account system, contact form, advertising pixel, or visitor analytics. Contact links open your email application; the website does not receive the message itself. The hosting provider may process standard technical request information needed to deliver the site.

Children

PressKit is a professional tool and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If PressKit's data practices change, this page will be updated before the changed feature is released, and the date at the top will change.
